I'm showing my age but I remember when Quay 4 opened at the waterfront and how good the food was then. To stay open for almost 20 years you need more than just great food and service...you also need to ensure your patrons love coming to your establishment and that includes the decor. The latest revamp of Quay 4 by the team at @sourceiba have brought a freshness to the space while acknowledging the roots of the restaurant. I love how the only real colour in the space comes from the walls, while the seating area is calm and tranquil. #restaurantdesign #capetownrestaurant

If you haven't noticed, it's Art Week in Cape Town with @investeccapetownartfair. I consider myself a successful failed artist - successful because I figured out 1.5 years in at Michaelis art school that being an Artist was not my thing. The world of creative business was a much better fit. But one of the most rewarding ventures I've ever taken part in has been the launch of our CS&Co artists collection in 2020 where we have been given access to the works of real artists and have brought their work to life on walls in every conceivable space and place. Watching the reactions of these artists to seeing their work used in such diverse contexts has been not only rewarding, but very much full circle for me. Those that cant teach? When we were asked last year to join this incredible team of craftsman and creators, we actually had no idea that it would turn into this. This being the most BEAUTIFUL feat of interior design telling the story of an exceptional South African talent- @thebemagugu. The team at @studiolandt_ held the vision tightly with Thebe and we did what we do best....deliver custom wall designs that hit the brief. To be honest, it was one of our easiest projects of the year because everyone had a clear vision. Thank you for including us in this labor of love. And Vogue baby!! South Africa....you make the rest of the world look bleh (am I allowed to say that? OK not bleh but I'm so flipping proud of this nation of ours). Photos by @inge_prins.
